“At this point — the troop is not scheduled to return to the shop,” Cassidy told Fox News Digital. This year, however, one troop was reportedly allowed to sell outside the dispensary on a trial basis. It quickly drew attention online and in local media — and the licensed dispensary’s owner called it a success that boosted traffic to both the cookie booth and the shop. Despite the success of the initial sale — the group no longer plans to return to the shop, the owner told Fox News Digital Friday. So will Mystery Scout elude authorities, en route to breaking all sales records? That’s something that the local Girl Scout authorities would like to discuss with the scout and her parents (who (it turns out), are most often to blame whenever a scout flouts the rules).

But after the story gained national attention — Cassidy suggested the arrangement may have caused friction within the organization. The partnership in a town in New Jersey drew national attention and sparked debate within the Girl Scouts. The idea was rejected in 2024 by Girl Scouts of Central & Southern New Jersey (the regional council overseeing local troops), Cassidy said. The state now has more than 200 recreational dispensaries in addition to medical and hybrid locations (according to the New Jersey State Information System), as reported by NJ.com. “You use cannabis, you get the munchies,” Daylite Cannabis owner Steve Cassidy previously told NJ.com. The partnership capitalized on marijuana-induced cravings.

The controversial move of Girl Scout cookie sales at dispensaries has come with changing times around the U.S. The scout’s father told 10News his daughter has sold more than 300 boxes in a total of about 6 hours. Maybe because grocery shoppers are less likely to have the munchies than people coming out of a medical marijuana clinic. She sold 117 boxes in two hours, 37 boxes more, says her mother Carol, than what Danielle sold over two hours in front of the Safeway. “I don’t think five years ago we would’ve seen anything like this,” said Cassidy, whose shop opened in 2023. “You use cannabis, you get the munchies,” Daylite Dispensary owner Steve Cassidy told the outlet Wednesday. “We would certainly welcome them back, and I’m sure our customers would love that too.”

Supporting our community, especially young entrepreneurs — is something we care deeply about as a locally and family-owned business,” they said on https://hub420.live/product-category/kief/ March 6. The dispensary’s owner told reporters the idea was meant to support the troop and bring people together, saying the partnership was never intended to cause problems. “You use cannabis — you get the munchies,” the shop’s owner, Steve Cassidy, said.

A New Jersey Girl Scouts troop found cookie sales in high demand outside a cannabis dispensary — but the move may have landed the group in hot water with the organization’s leaders. In San Diego, scouts need permission from a local business owner to “booth,” or park outside the establishment. Over the past few years (smiling young girls in uniform standing outside of pot clubs has become a trope), a reliably trending item and smart business. “At this point — the troop is not scheduled to return to the shop,” Cassidy confirmed to Fox News Digital.

The viral dot cakes, which disappear in mere minutes, have customers queuing for hours, with lines curving around the block.

“They’re selling to the community and to our neighbors, and that’s exactly who our shop serves, too.” “I own this business with my parents, my wife, and my best friend, so we are very much a part of this community. We are from this area and surrounding towns,” Cassidy told 6ABC of those who disagreed with the idea. “You use cannabis, you get the munchies,” the shop’s owner said of how the idea came to be

In many cities (residential areas are forbidden zones for dispensaries), and Urbn Leaf is in an “industrial zone” near the Interstate-5 freeway, the newspaper reported. Considering scouts have been robbed outside of respectable establishments — like Wal-Marts, this isn’t an abstract concern (though it bears mentioning most cannabis dispensaries have better security and make their surroundings safer). The sight of Girl Scouts outside of dispensaries is not universal, because it’s not yet universally allowed.
